46th Annual Pow Wow Gem & Mineral Show

Wednesday 18th January to Sunday 22nd January:

46th Annual Pow Wow Gem & Mineral Show

Don’t Miss this World Famous Event in Quartzsite, Jan. 18-22

There is a little story that rockhounds tell. Fill your pockets with marbles. Every time you pick up a rock replace it with a marble. After you have lost all your marbles you are a true rockhound.

Rockhounds have been coming to The Quartzsite area for years because of the abundance of beautiful gems and minerals found in the desert and surrounding mountains. In 1966 organizers started the first pow wow, a gathering for rockhounds to show, trade & sell their finds and to share their knowledge. 46 years later it has grown from a casual tailgate sale to The World Famous Pow Wow Gem & Mineral Show.

Enthusiasts come from all over the world to buy and sell locally found as well as imported material that may be transformed into jewelry, art or whatever the imagination can come up with. The Pow Wow has over 300 vendors selling a variety of items. All booths must sell at least 75% mineral related items.

The thousands of visitors to the Pow Wow are additionally treated to 80+ beautiful display and craft cases in the main hall. The more adventuresome may choose to go on a field trip sponsored by the Quartzsite Gem & Mineral Club to do some collecting of their own. Home-style meals are served in the dining hall daily at reasonable prices.

Admittance to the show is free and free parking is available with shuttle service to the showgrounds. All of this magic is accomplished with over 300 volunteers.

Come lose your marbles with us! See you at the Pow Wow.
