29th Annual Sports, Vacation & RV Show

Saturday 21st January to Sunday 29th January:

29th Annual Sports, Vacation & RV Show

The Largest Consumer Attended Show in the U.S., Jan. 21 – 29, 2012

During the winter months Quartzsite, Arizona becomes a haven for “Snowbirds” from the colder climates throughout the United States and Canada. Warm days and mild evenings have made this desert area of Southern Arizona the “RV Mecca” for our nomadic winter guests. Every January something happens that is hard to believe unless you have seen it. According to the Arizona Highway Department as many as 750,000 to 1,000,000 people, mostly in RVs, converge on this sleepy little desert town, located just 20 miles east of the California border on Interstate 10, for the rock and gem shows and the numerous flea markets. This phenomenon started over 35 years ago and is now billed as “The Largest Gathering Of RVers in the World”.

People come in droves, filling over 70 local RV parks and parking their RVs anywhere they can find an unoccupied piece of sand for miles in every direction. When we erect our 70,000 sq. ft. tent for the shows, the “BIG TENT”, as it is referred to by the locals and returning RVers, it is by far the largest structure in town, can be seen from miles away and from I-10 and is strategically situated right in the center of this huge mass of humanity. Adjacent to the southern and western boundaries of our show grounds is the Bureau of Land Management’s La Posa Recreation area where 10,000–20,000 RV’s dry camp each year during the shows. On our northern boundary is the Tyson Wells show grounds, Quartzsite’s most popular rock show and flea market. On our eastern boundary is an 80 acre dry campground that holds another 1500 – 2000 RVs.

Our 29th Annual Sports, Vacation & RV Show dates are Jan. 21st – 29th, 2012. We expect over 150,000 people through the show during the 9 day event. In addition to booths and an outdoor, “Midway” exhibit area, there are 12 enclosed service bays for exhibitors that are installing and/or servicing products during the shows. Travel destinations from the US, Canada, Mexico & Europe are represented and hundreds of new and used RVs are on display during the show. Adding to the fun are demonstrations and live entertainment, plus there are acres of FREE parking and FREE public admission!

The Quartzsite RV Show is now the largest consumer attended show in the United States. Be a part of “The Largest Gathering of RVs & RVers on the Planet Earth” in 2012 and come enjoy our show! “It’s all happening under the BIG TOP” at Quartzsite in 2012!
