The 24th Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival

Top-10.0011

Transport Yourself to Another Time and Place

Take a trip back in time to the wildly popular and entertaining Arizona Renaissance Festival. The annual faire begins at 10 am every Saturday, Sunday, and on Presidents’ Day Monday, from February 11 – April 1.

This Festival transports visitors to a 16th century European style country fair filled with an agreeable rabble of knights, rogues, royalty and craftsmen, all roaming throughout a 30-acre charm-filled village with 200 quaint shops, 12 stages of non-stop entertainment, an arena for full-contact armored jousting, kitchens, and pubs.

More than 2,000 brightly costumed actors, dancers, and musicians ensure a good time for the visitors who mingle into the endlessly wacky and unpredictable medieval mayhem. Meet these colorful characters, shop for arts and crafts, and take in a selection of over 150 shows every event day. There is a great variety of food for feasting and a bevy of beverages.

Popular attractions at the Festival include the live jousting tournaments, complete with knights on charging horses, and the birds of prey flights. In addition to the people-powered rides for kids, the Festival offers interactive games like the dragon climbing tower, the castle siege, Jacob’s Ladder, a maze and an archery range.

A most special event within this event is The Pleasure Feast, a one and a half hour five course medieval feast with live music and comedy entertainment, plus festival souvenir. Advance feast reservations are recommended.

Location: East of Apache Junction on US Highway 60. Hours: 10-6, rain or shine.
Tickets: Advanced discount tickets available for purchase and print on-line or at Fry’s are $20 adults & $10 kids ages 5 – 12; under 5 are FREE.
